Tom Onslow-Cole started the last race from Oulton Park in pole position thanks to the reverse grid system and got a good start as did his eBay Motors team-mates Rob Collard and Nick Foster who passed Liam Griffin off the line. Matt Neal soon moved up to 3rd place then up to 2nd behind Onslow-Cole with Jason Plato 3rd as Griffin dropped down the field.

On lap 4, Liam Griffin spun out and in a separate incident Daniel Welch's Proton Persona was hit by the Redstone Racing Ford Focus of Mat Jackson. Jackson was able to continue running however Welch's race was over and the safety car was deployed to allow the recovery of the stricken cars.

After several laps the safety car came in but as soon as the race had resumed, Andrew Jordan's Pirtek Racing Honda Civic spun off into the barrier after being tagged by Rob Collard's BMW 320si. In an unrelated incident, Aron Smith's Redstone Racing Ford Focus and Oliver Jackson's AmD Tuining.com's Volkswagen Golf also left the track and the safety car was deployed for a second time.

The race got under way again and on lap 14 Matt Neal passed Tom Onslow-Cole to take the lead. Onslow-Cole was then immediately under pressure from the MG KX Momentum Racing MG6 of Jason Plato who soon passed Onslow-Cole to take 2nd place. Gordon Shedden started putting pressure on Onslow-Cole who in turn was starting to attack Plato to recover the place he had previously lost.
