By MJP Media | 3 October 2013

As the teams and drivers head to Brands Hatch in Kent for the final meeting of the 2013 BTCC season, Pirtek Racing's Andrew Jordan leads the championship by 34 points however with 67 points up for grabs from the three remaining races, the championship is still wide open. If past performance is any indication, Jordan is in excellent shape to take the 2013 BTCC crown, being the only driver to have scored points in each of the 27 races so far this year. Having won the Independents' Trophy last year, the outright BTCC title is next goal for Jordan.

Behind Andrew Jordan, the championship battle is extremely close with past and present BTCC champions all within touching distance of the 2013 trophy. 2011 champion Matt Neal is 34 points behind Jordan with Honda Yuasa Racing team-mate and defending champion Gordon Shedden 1 point behind. eBay Motors driver Colin Turkington who won the championship in 2009 is just 13 points behind Shedden and 1 point ahead of 2010 champion Jason Plato.
