As the teams and drivers head to Brands Hatch in Kent for the final meeting of the 2014 BTCC season, eBay Motors' Colin Turkington leads the championship by 50 points over MG KX Club Card Fuel Save's Jason Plato. Following their strong performances last time out at Silverstone, these two former champions are now the only contenders capable of lifting the 2014 Drivers' Championship trophy.

The eBay Motors squad have already secured the Independents Team Trophy whilst Colin Turkington is unbeatable for the Independents Trophy. With Turkington's 50 point lead in the Drivers' Championship, this title looks almost certain to go his way as well, however nothing is certain in the BTCC - just ask Turkington's team-mate Rob Collard who barrel-rolled his BMW 125i M Sport in the 2nd race at Silverstone after being hit by Jack Clarke's Ford Focus.

Colin Turkington needs to score only 17 more points from the final three races at Brands Hatch to secure the 2014 BTCC Drivers' Championship so the odds are against Jason Plato however that is when Plato is at his most determined. The Oxford based driver has won more races than any other driver in the history of the BTCC, finished in the top three in the championship 9 times and won all three races at Brands Hatch in the final meeting of the 2009 BTCC season. If anybody can beat Turkington, Plato can!

In addition to the three final races of the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship which headline the event, there will be full support programme including the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup, Ginetta Junior Championship, Porsche Carrera Cup GB, Renault UK Clio Cup and Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain - a full programme of motorsport at one of the UK's most iconic circuits.
