The Inside Track with Subaru Team BMR: We made it and the boys 'done good'!

By Team BMR / MJP Media | 2 April 2016

It's the BTCC season opener at Brands Hatch and we have four Subaru Levorgs blasting around the circuit, so a huge thank you has to go to everyone in the team for all of their dedicated work and long nights.

Well, where do we start? First of all we would like to say a big thank you to Subaru and our sponsors for all of the faith they have showed in us. We must also say thank you to our drivers for their patience. Most of all though we would like to thank you, our fans, for the massive amount of support and excitement that you have shown which gives everyone involved such a massive lift.

On to other matters and how are the cars? Well, it would be premature to look at Saturday's times as anything other than shake-down times. We had so little data on the cars that every lap was an adventure really but the signs were immensely positive. We did some short and longer runs and the feedback was great. The cars look brilliant in the flesh and we just know you will love the fabulous roar that they produce.

The three races at Brands Hatch will give us even more vital information and we are sure that we will be making continuous changes to the cars for quite a while as we learn things and try new alternatives. We are very confident in the package that we have and our aim is to give a good account of ourselves whilst we learn and to be back to winning races as soon as we possibly can.

We know how much the name Subaru means to motor sport fans and the success that they have had - just look at the crowds we had in the pit lane walkabout! Our target is to continue that success for the brand in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship bringing a whole new era of success to the team and most importantly give you, the fans, the success that your fantastic support deserves.
