Money talks, they say, but when it comes to getting close to our sporting heroes, there's normally a deafening silence. However deep your wallet you won't get a kick-about with Wayne Rooney or a net session with Andy Murray, which is why The Racing School's sneak preview of its forthcoming 'Touring Car Experience' really captures the imagination and former BTCC champions Andrew Jordan and Matt Neal were on hand to help launch the company's vision.

The exclusive new driving experience, revealed at Donington Park this week, will spearhead the school's 2015 activities. It offers a unique opportunity for fans to experience the brute power of the beasts they see raced on their TV screens - both by driving them and sitting alongside the men who have raced them quicker than anyone else.

"Many of us dream of these cars as we're growing up, never believing that we will ever get the chance to drive them ourselves." said Andrew Jordan, the reigning British Touring Car Championship Drivers' Champion. "But now, thanks to The Racing School, people don't have to be content with watching them from their armchair, or merely racing them on a computer screen: they can actually experience the drama for themselves. Better still, they can drive these amazing machines around the challenging sweeps and dips of Donington Parks National circuit."

The 'Touring Car Experience' as it will be known will involve driving cars representative of the famous, although unrelated, British Touring Car Championship and its supporting cast - a single-seater, Porsche Carrera, Ginetta GT4 and Renault Clio - before progressing to a 300 brake horsepower (bhp) variant of a 2015 BTCC race car. It will culminate in 'hot laps' with BTCC heroes, at racing speeds, in a full-blown Next Generation Touring Car.

"Our mission at The Racing School is to transform dreams into reality." commented Managing Director Peter Barnes. "Touring cars resonate with the public because they see superstar drivers racing wheel-to-wheel in cars derived from everyday production models. The 'Touring Car Experience' will bring fans closer to their heroes than ever before."
