First for the waiting crowd was the public debut of Aiden Moffat's stunning new Laser Tools Racing Mercedes Benz A-Class. The 18-year-old Scot's debut full season in 2014 was characterised by a remarkable level of consistency and saw him winning championship points and being amongst the top drivers in terms of the number of laps completed in the season, quite an accomplishment as he was only 17 at the time.

Aiden tested the A-Class at the end of last season and was so impressed by the car which is prepared by Ciceley Racing that he couldn't wait to switch. "The car was a revelation after the Chevrolet and just felt like it was in a different class. The car is beautiful and I can't wait to go testing and see how good it is." said Aiden. We expect Aiden to take his maiden top 10 finishes in the 2015 BTCC season. He certainly has the talent.

After yesterday's announcement from Andrew Jordan that he was joining the Triple Eight racing works MG squad, it was an immediate public launch for the car which will carry the former champion's now instantly recognisable Pirtek livery. The car looked fantastic on the BTCC stand and Andrew was as relaxed and happy as he has been in some time.

Andrew and the team firmly believe that this car can be a championship winning car in the right hands and Andrew's pedigree, despite still being only 25 years of age, is already well proven. The season will also see the Sutton Coldfield driver gain further support from Red Bull who have recognised his natural talent and results to date.

Next came the biggest surprise of the day as global sports car star Andy Priaulx was announced as a new member of the WSR team, running a BMW 125i M Sport in the livery of new sponsors IHG Rewards Club. Priaulx, who is based in Guernsey, has been a BMW works driver for some years now and is a former European Touring Car Championship champion, three times World Touring Car Championship champion and the only FIA Touring Car champion to win an International level championship for four consecutive years (2004 to 2007). Andy last featured in the BTCC in 2001 and 2002, initially for Vauxhall and then with a Honda for 2002.

These and many other stars of the BTCC including Rob Collard, Richard Hawken, Jason Plato and reigning champion Colin Turkington will be at the Autosport International Show this weekend, so come along to the NEC and see all of your favourite stars.
