By MJP Media | 11 December 2013

WIX Filters has announced they will be title sponsoring Ciceley Racing and Adam Morgan in the 2014 British Touring Car Championship season.

WIX Filters have confirmed their title sponsorship for 2014 with Ciceley Motorsport and driver Adam Morgan. Whilst grateful for the partnership formed in 2013 with Rob Austin Racing, their requirements for 2014 conflicted with arrangements already in place with existing sponsors.

Ciceley Motorsport burst onto the UK motor sport scene in 2011 and immediately led Adam Morgan to the Ginetta GT Supercup title, propelling the Lancashire born racing talent into Britain's premier motor racing series, the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, in 2012. In 2013, Adam finished an impressive 7th place in the BTCC, proving to be an exciting prospect for the future.

Ciceley Motorsport's team principle Russell Morgan said "I am delighted to be partnering with WIX Filters for the 2014 BTCC season. To have a global brand like WIX as our title sponsor for next year has been the icing on the cake for what is set to be a massively exciting year for Ciceley Motorsport. Introducing the new Mercedes A-Class into the BTCC ranks with family member Adam at the wheel, we hope to continue on the successes of 2013. The enthusiasm WIX has already shown leaves us in no doubt that this partnership will be successful on and off the track next year and hopefully beyond."

The 2014 season is going to be an exhilarating season for the WIX Filters and Ciceley Motorsport partnership, with the decision to run a brand new Mercedes A-Class. This has huge significance as Mercedes have not had a car in the British Touring Car Championship for over 30 years. The design of the car is yet to be revealed but WIX Filters promises not to disappoint with the visual impact.

The team also announced that FAI Automotive Plc will be joining them as supporting sponsor for the 2014 season. Sean Walker, Managing Director of FAI Automotive Plc, is delighted to be back in the paddock supporting the team after 21 years absence from BTCC. WIX and FAI share market synergy servicing the UK and Ireland independent aftermarket, so feel the association offers many benefits and are looking forward to sharing the journey together.
